the challenge.

I have been discovering that I have commitment issues. I have been somewhat aware of this, but  more and more am coming to terms with how bad it is. When I say commitment issues, I don't necessarily mean relationships. I'm not saying that isn't part of it, but mostly I am really bad at finishing things or going through with things. Working out, writing letters/emails, writing blog posts - I have started so many of them, but never finish. Same with writing letters and emails! Budgeting - I make a budget but am bad about sticking with it in the long run. I lose interest in things quickly, or more I let myself get distracted by other things. School - I never (yet anyway) got my bachelors degree. While I am very happy with where I am at now, and finally am getting to do what I want, I still have no degree. But I can't say that I would change anything if I could go back. I do believe I have been exactly where God has wanted me to be up to this point even though it's not the traditional or "normal" way of doing things. I am loving the journey I am on. But now I am rambling... back to my commitment issues. :)

I know someone - who also blogs - who is doing "30 Things in 30 Days". She has inspired me to face this challenge as well! Here is the list of "things" to write about for each day:

1. List 20 random facts about yourself.
2. Describe 3 legitimate fears you have and explain how they became fears.
3. Describe your relationship with your parents.
4. List 10 things you would tell your 16 year-old self, if you could.
5. What are the 5 things that make you most happy right now?
6. What is the hardest thing you have experienced?
7. What is your dream job, and why?
8. What are 5 passions you have?
9. List 10 people who have influenced you and describe how.

19. If you could live anywhere, where would it be and why?
20. Describe 3 significant memories from your childhood.
21. If you could have one superpower, what would it be and what would you do with it first?
22.Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? 15 years?
23. List your top 5 hobbies and why you love them.
24. Describe your family dynamic of your childhood vs. your family dynamic now.

29. What do you think people misunderstand most about you?
30. List 10 things you would hope to be remembered for.

I am going to do it....30 Things in 30 Days! I am going to work on my commitment issues, starting with this blog! :) Please, hold me accountable to this. Now, I know that my commitment issue isn't going to start and stop with this blog, but it's a step. Making a post every day, 30 days in a row...that's a lot to commit too...for me anyway. But I'm going to do it! It would be a great feeling to be able to say, "I did it!" at the end of the 30 days!

I am very excited about this. But I am excited about a lot of things that I start...so we'll see what I am saying in 30 days...:)

Be on the lookout for another post today! Day 1 of "30 Things".

And as always, thanks for reading! Hopefully through this challenge, I don't bore you too much!
